This look is all about timeless elegance and glamour.

Base:

Create a smooth, flawless base using foundation and concealer. Use a highlighter with a golden shade for the cheekbones, like Benefit’s ‘Watt’s Up!’, £24.50.

Contour the cheekbones, nose and jaw line using Sleek MakeUp Face Contour Kit, £6.49. Application is easier if you use a fan brush.

Add a little bronzer to the forehead and cheekbones to create warmth.

Finish the base with a subtle hint of blusher. This look is mostly about the eyes and lips, so keep the blusher fairly natural.

Eyes:

We are creating a classic smokey eye look for the Flapper Girl. Using the Collection ‘Work the Colour Eye Palette’ £3.99, begin with an all over colour wash in a light shimmery shade. Follow by using a mid/ taupe shape to begin to create the smokey eye, working the colour into the sockets and outer edges of the eye. Finally, using a dark grey, brown or black shade, enhance the sockets and outer corners of the eyes. Apply gel eyeliner across the eyelids and finish with small flicks.

Use some glamorous lashes such as Naturalites Volume Plus Lashes style 100, £5.39, to complete the sultry, smokey eye look.

Brows:

Enhance the arch of the brows using Gimme Brow Gel from Benefit, £17.50, which gives your brows brilliant definition and shape – as well as being great for holding every hair in place.

Lips:

Using a lip liner, outline the natural shape of the lips, making sure that both sides are symmetrical and neat. Fill in lips with a mauve shade of your choice.

Hair:

Using curling tongs, curl the hair in small sections and pin up with curl clips while the hair cools down. When the make-up is complete, remove all the curl clips and brush hair out with a soft paddle brush. Create a severe side parting, and gently brush the hair out into glamourous waves. Shape the waves carefully around the face. Create a faux bob by rolling the long hair underneath and pinning in to the nape of the neck with hair grips. Set with hair spray and finish with flapper girl hair accessories.

Dress:

Go for an extravagant fringe flapper dress or Gatsby Dress from our Dresses Collection for Party and New Look Dresses collection which is perfect for injecting a Daisy Buchanan vibe into your stylish Halloween party. For a finishing touch put on a pair elegant heeled sandals, long pearls and anyfeathered accessories.

Jessica Rabbit

Jessica Rabbit Goddiva Halloween Costume Ideas

Everything about this look needs to be exaggerated to achieve the cartoon features of Jessica Rabbit. It’s such a fun look to create with its vivid colours and big, bold hair.

Base:

Try to use a foundation with a medium to heavy coverage and a matte finish. You can mix in a highlighter such a Benefit’s That Gal, £22.50 with the foundation to give your base a shimmery all-over glow.

You can really exaggerate when it comes to the highlighting and concealing for this look. Use a bright shimmery highlighter on the cheekbones, the centre of the forehead, down the bridge of the nose, the Cupid’s bow (the ridge between your nose and top of your lips), and the chin. Make sure this is well blended. Then contrast your highlighted areas by heavily contouring below the cheekbones, the jaw line, the sides of the nose, the temples and around the hairline.

Add a bright peachy shade of blusher to the apples of the cheeks, for example Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher in ‘Healthy Mix, £7.99.

Brows:

Enhance the arch of the brows using Gimme Brow Gel from Benefit, £17.50, which gives your brows brilliant definition and shape – as well as being great for holding every hair in place.

Eyes:

The colour palette for the eyes is bright blue and purple. Use bright blue eyeliner such as Collection’s Intense Colour Supersoft Kohl Pencil in ‘Peacock Feather’, £1.99, to create the Eyeshadow shape; a high, exaggerated arch which tapers outwards and upwards. Once you have created the shape, fill in the area with the blue and purple eye shadow. Add some blue and purple glitter on top of the eye shadow.

Next, use a gel eyeliner and super-fine eyeliner brush to create a long, sleek flick above the lash line.

Apply your choice of false eyelashes. Styles that feature long, glossy lashes work best to achieve the cartoon look.

Lips:

Big, bold, enhanced lips are key for this look. Before applying the lip liner, apply some concealer to the outer edges of the lips. This will really make the lip colour stand out when applied, as well as adding dramatic definition.

Use a lip liner like Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner, £3.99, to create a defined lip shape. You can go beyond the natural lip line with the liner, so that the lips look fuller than they do naturally. Make sure you get an even shape and size on both sides. Once you have the desired shape, fill in the lips with a matching lip colour.

Finish the lips with a lip maximising gloss like Dior Lip Maximizer £23.00, which adds fullness and shine.

Hair:

Using curling tongs, curl the hair in small sections and pin up with curl clips while the hair cools down. When the make-up is complete, remove all the curl clips and brush hair out with a soft paddle brush. Back comb the top half of the head in small neat sections to give lots of root volume and lift. Create a side parting, and gently brush the hair out into glamorous curls. Set with hair spray.

Dress:

If you’ve ever seen the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit? you’ll probably agree that your jaw dropped when the lovely Jessica Rabbit first stepped out onto the stage to perform her musical piece Why Don’t You Do Right. Her style is oozing class, sex appeal and mystery all at once. Pick our stunning red sequin maxi from our Evening Dresses Collection. You must feel like you are not exposing too much or too little skin, you must reveal a little but cover the rest with form-fitting clothes. Retaining elegance and class is essential. For the finishing touch of Jessica’s va va voom get a pair of ling silky purple gloves.
