Goddiva have taken inspiration from across the pond to bring you the latest trends from New York Fashion Week.
Floaty gowns were a big hit in New York, with Goddiva taking inspiration from the likes of Badgely Mischka to create a range that is perfect for the Spring / Summer season. Think semi-sheer fabrics, cool colour tones and deep necklines for your perfect prom dress.
The New York runway also showcased confident, bold dresses. Block colours and clean lines from J Mendel and Zac Posen, and animal print from Juan Carlos Obando – ideal for making you stand out over the summer season. Goddiva have created maxi dresses inspired by these looks to make you feel fabulous on your big night out.
Floral prints were prominent in New York for S/S 2015, with several designers presenting feminine, pretty dresses perfect for Spring. Among Goddiva’s favourites were Diesel Black Gold, with sinched-in waistlines and floaty skirts. Micheal Kors, Oscar de la Renta and Erin Fetherston gave us colourful floral prints and delicate details. Goddiva’s offering, inspired by New York’s floral trend, includes full length dresses, bodycon mini dresses, fun playsuits and sophisticated frocks perfect for that Spring or Summer wedding outfit.
Floral brocade also featured, with a beautiful full-skirted cut-out dress from Delpozo. Goddiva use a similar print with their beautiful co-ord set, created using fabric with a deatiled, intricate floral print.
Embellishments and tassles were another trend in New York for S/S 2015. Embroidered fabrics, studs, a wealth of texture and detail on show will create a perfect party look. Proenza Schouler’s tassled dress and Reem Acra’s Lace gown were among Goddiva’s favourites that inspired our own versions.
The ‘little black dress‘ will be a classic for the Spring/ Summer Season. Goddiva have given the little black dress a twist for the season, influenced by Reem Acra’s cut-out dress. Cut-outs, horizontal lines and sheer overlays are the key trends we have brought to this year’s LBD’s.
